2010-2011 The American Baptist Women of First Baptist Church are nationally and regionally connected with the American Baptist Churches, but are uniquely designed to serve in and through First Baptist Church of Colorado Springs. This year’s theme, Women saying YES combines with our great history of helping all of our church to reach out to local needs, national emphasis, and international outreach. We encourage and support our missionaries with prayers and needed goods while we stimulate interest and educational opportunities. We also feature this year a study of the book What Happens When Women Say Yes to God, by Lysa TerKeurst. There will be opportunities this fall to reflect with other women about the book. The annual Women’s Christmas Brunch on December 4 will be another highlight. We look forward to our spring retreat during Lent. Our guest leader will be author, Amy Frykholm, of her book Julian of Norwich, Along with these activities there are organized groups of women in the church who would welcome you to participate in fellowship and service. “Just Ask!” where you might meet a need with your voice and your hands. Or may we meet your need?
