Position Opening: Office Administrator
This is a full-time position with secretarial, record-keeping, scheduling, and publication duties. The Office Administrator works closely with the church staff, lay leadership and members of the congregation to coordinate the ministry of First Baptist Church. Candidate must be a committed Christian living a personal lifestyle consistent with Biblical teachings. Qualifications include competent technical skills required for the production of highly accurate work, including competency with Microsoft Word, Publisher, and other church software. He or she must be able to work well with other staff members and with members of the congregation, be self-directed, well organized, and have good communications skills. Grammar and spelling proficiency is essential for this position. Background and reference checks will be conducted. Closing date: February 20, 2012. Mission Statement We will use our strengths as a downtown congregation to care for one another, offer meaningful worship experiences, and provide resources and opportunities for discipleship, mission and ministry in our local community and in our wider world. Our ministry must be based on the teachings, values and ministry of Christ as revealed to us through Holy Scripture by the leading of the Holy Spirit. 2.
